“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” – Psalm 14
Question: Are you a fool according to the Bible? Answer: Read on.
Continuing from scripture, “They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
What a shame. Because Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, the earth and all its inhabitants have suffered the corrosive effects of death, decay and destruction. As the only two humans who walked and talked personally with God The Father, they chose in their hearts to follow their pride in disobedience. How far we have fallen from this unique relationship with God. It is only through the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we are able to be reconciled to God The Father, and have our slate of sins wiped clean. In essence, Jesus needed to come to earth to wake us up from our spiritual slumber and apathy, thereby making it possible for us to have a direct relationship with the Father.
Some other verses,
The Word of the Lord is life
“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Famine of the Word of God
“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.”
Forget not my law
“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments.”
They obeyed not My voice
“And the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; But have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim, which their fathers taught them.”
Follow My instruction
“Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.”
Servant to the wise
“He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.”
A fool is right in his own eyes
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.”

Fear of the LORD

“Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.”
The foolish walk in darkness

Teach My words to your children
“Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”
A wise man hears wisdom
“To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.”
Destruction of the foolish
“When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.”
Snares of death
“The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.”
Obey My voice
“But this thing I commanded them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.”
Every word of God
