Dear Friend…

God loves YOU so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die upon the cross at Calvary for YOUR sins. The bible plainly states  all men have sinned, and without a Saviour, we are condemned to destruction and death. What will YOU do? Will respond the call of Jesus for YOU?
All have sinned
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24

Consequences of sin
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23

Fate of the wicked
“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.” Malachi 4:1

Reward of the blessed
“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.”
Revelation 22:1-5

God bless,

Divinity of Jesus Christ

This is quite an important article regarding  a central pillar of our faith, answering the question as to who Jesus is, and making His divinity clear and manifest. During a bible study last week some folks from a local messianic came by, claiming Jesus did not pre-exist before being born of Mary, and now exists as an immortal human in heaven. This is a very a dangerous doctrine not supported whatsoever in scripture, and will ultimately lead to their downfall and destruction. The bible is absolutely clear that Jesus Christ is God, one with the Father, and has always existed from eternity past. If you are struggling with this question, I pray the Word of God will touch your heart and bring you into knowledge of the truth.

Genesis 1:26-27  ~ Man in our image ~
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

John 1:1-15  ~The Word was with God in the beginning ~
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” Who is Word? Jesus Christ. Who was He with? God the Father. Is Jesus also God? Yes, this verse says so – not very complicated is it? At what point in time did Jesus exist? In the beginning – period. Jesus do not come into existence as a human baby!

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man  sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.” Jesus is the True Light, sent from His Father to illuminate the darkness in the world.  John the Baptist came in advance of Jesus to proclaim His coming kingdom. Who made the world? Jesus. When did He exist? Jesus as always existed, just accept it.

“He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory  as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me:  for he was before me.”  Jesus descended from heaven and was born of the virgin Mary into the world. Again, from what point in time did Jesus exist in heaven? Always, from eternity past as we have already established. Notice carefully the words, ‘He that cometh after me is preferred before me.’ How is this possible? Easy. The pre-incarnate Jesus has always existed  and resided in heaven with the Father. Was this before John the Baptist or anyone else was born? Yes, of course! Therefore, we have firmly established Jesus has always existed from the farthest distance point back in time. Back in the human world, who was born first, Jesus or John? John was born by his mother Elisabeth about (6) months before Mary gave birth to Jesus – See Luke 1:24-31. As a human baby, Jesus was born after John, but as God, He has always existed – clear?

Luke 10:17-19  ~I beheld Satan fall ~
“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”  If Jesus did not exist before His birth as a baby, how could He have been present when Satan was evicted  from heaven? No, Jesus has always existed and will forever more.

Isaiah 9:6-7  ~The everlasting Father ~
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and  to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Here, we see Jesus referred to as the ‘everlasting Father’. What does this mean? John 14:11 “Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.” and also in Verse 20, “At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” John 10:30 “I and my Father are one.” This is the essence of the Godhead, Jesus the Son and God the Father are spiritually one and the same. Jesus is both the Son and the Father at the same time. While this may be difficult for us to comprehend with our finite human minds, but never the less, this is what scripture says.

Isaiah 53:4-7  ~He bore our sins~
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised  for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before the shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” As the perfect sacrifice, Jesus paid the penalty for the sin of all mankind – death. His blood upon the cross at Calvary, He experience the full excruciating painful reality of the crucifixion, the full weight of all human sin, and for the first time, separation from His Father. No mere human, no matter how good or perfect could have endured all this. Jesus willingly laid down His life for us, and rose from the dead in ultimate victory over death.

Isaiah 42:1-6  ~Office of Christ~
“Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not cry, nor lift up nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall be not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.  Thus saith the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein; I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles.”

Luke 22:67-71  ~Jesus accused of blasphemy~
“Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.”

John 17:3-5  ~The glory which I had before~
“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”

Hebrews 1:xx  ~Thy throne O God is forever~
“God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” Jesus is the Son of God and heir of all things. The Father made all things through Jesus, who upholds the universe by His word. Jesus alone is able to cleanse our sins, and is now in heaven at the right hand of the Father.

“Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”  We see here that Jesus is greater than the angels, and has a greater inheritance than they.

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the work of thine hands:” The Father is here referring to the Son as ‘O God’, making it abundantly clear Jesus is in fact, God. Why is this unclear to some folks? Who laid the earth’s foundation? Jesus Christ, it says so right here and supports the statement made in John 1:1, whereby Jesus existed in the beginning and made all things.

“They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?”

Philippians 2:5-11 ~Every knee shall bow~
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heavens, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”  Jesus is of the same form as the Father, and equal to Him. Obviously, in order to ‘take upon him the form of a servant’, Jesus must have had an earlier, first form, because the second must have come from the first. Coming to earth in human form, be humbled Himself and became a servant for our sakes. The Father has exalted the name of Jesus, with a name greater than any other. At his second coming, Jesus will return to planet earth in His full glory, illumination and power. So awesome will this event be, that the knee of every man will bow before Almighty God in humility and reverence.

God bless,

The foolish say there is no God

Psalm 53
“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see of there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.”

Romans 3:10-12
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”

Romans 1:20
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”

Malachi 4
“For behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healings in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgements. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

Preaching of the Cross

1 Corinthians 1:xx

Preaching is Foolish  to the Perishing  ~  Verses 18-19 ~
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Two thousand years ago, as today, many of the people laughed and scorned at Jesus and His message of salvation. How about you? Do you consider Jesus to be “just a man”, a historical figure of good moral character? Are you ready to accept Him as the Messiah and Son of God? The miracle of what He accomplished at the cross is no joke, it is not a fairy tale, or the product of imagination. No. It was and remains the greatest gift God could have given to us; forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of His Son.

Wisdom of God  ~ Verses 20-21 ~
“Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world?: hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”  Human nature is to consider ourselves wise beyond measure, everything we do is right, and to take offense at being called foolish. God’s word, however, states that He alone is wise, and only a fool rejects Him. See Proverbs 1:7, Psalm 14:1.

Stumbling blocks and Foolishness  ~ Verses 22-23 ~
“For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But  we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;” Do you consider the claim of Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, as outrageous? Is your pride and stubbornness a stumbling block? Will you allow your unbelief and pride to condemn you to the lake of fire? Please, consider carefully, as God will not accept “I didn’t know” as an excuse. God created every human being with a natural, indwelling knowledge of Himself, but will you listen?

Foolishness of God and Men  ~ Verses 24-25 ~
“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.” God is strong, but we are weak. He is eternal, we are temporal. If you are willing to  considered a fool by the world, you can be considered wise by God, and receive eternal life through His Son. Not a bad arrangement, eh?

David and Goliath

1 Samuel Chapter 17

Verse 4
” And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, names Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span”

Verse 12
“Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem-judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.”

Verse 24
“And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore afraid.”

Verse 37
“David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.”

Verses 45-48
“The said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s and he will give you into our hands. And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.”

Verse 49-50
“And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth. So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.”

Lesson to Learn
Although David was the least of all his brothers in terms of age, height, strength and stature, he trusted in God. This is a wonderful example of how God can use the weak and humble person to suit His grander purpose. Note how David’s stronger and more power brothers were afraid to confront the warrior Goliath. Why? Because they trusted in their own strength and abilities, rather than relying upon, and trusting in the strength and grace of the LORD.

God answers an atheist

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth. And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God said that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground. And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land Havilah, where there is gold; And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. And the name of the second river Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Handling Money God’s Way

Inheritance Planning   ~Proverbs 13:22~
“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.”  God has instructed every parent to plan for and make appropriate provisions to care for their children and grandchildren. This is not to say a person is “not good” if they do not do so, but parents should be careful not to squander their blessings from the LORD.

Hard Work is Key   ~Proverbs 20:4~
“The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.”  Far too many folks today believe it is the responsibility of government to take care of their financial needs. Now don’t get me wrong, there is a very real and ongoing need to provide assistance to those who have fallen upon hard times. However, the typical government, nanny-state, big-brother  programs are inefficient and not designed to lead people into a self-sufficient position. Throughout the bible, God has made it abundantly clear that diligent hard work is one of the keys to success. As an example, consider the biblical narrative of the patriarch Jacob, who laboured faithfully for his uncle Laban over a period of 21 years, became very wealthy in the process.

Wealth Attracts People   ~Proverbs 19:4~
“Wealth maketh many friends; but the poor is separated from his neighbour.”  How many lottery winners have seen their lives ruined because of their “fortune”? Destroyed relationships? Ruined marriages? Go look it up, you will have little trouble finding the truth. Wealth gained slowly, over time, with proper credit given to God, may be successfully managed by the humble and godly at heart. Nowhere in scripture can I find where God condemns having wealth and possessions, but there is plenty of warning against greed. We must be careful to remember that all wealth ultimately originates from God, and what He giveth may be taken away if we fail to manage our blessings accordingly.

Handle Inheritances with Care   ~Proverbs 20:21~
“An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.”  Sudden inherited wealth has brought many to financial and emotional ruin. Imagine how you might handle an unexpected inheritance of a large sum of money. Would you spend it unwisely on temporal things? If you are unable to manage your own finances well, is it reasonable to expect you would be able fare better in this situation? While it may be fun to wish for a large sum of money from the proverbial “rich uncle”, consider a word of warning to be careful what you wish for.

The Borrowers’ Dilemma   ~Proverbs  22:7~
“The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”  Anyone who has borrowed money from a bank will readily agree this to be a true statement. For large purchases such as a home, it may be necessary to undertake some debt. However, the banks are always the winners in the money-lending game, as a quick look at your interest statement will  easily confirm. God does not want His people to live in the bondage of debt as it hampers the ability to build wealth, care for family and give generously.

A Warning for the Rich   ~Proverbs 22:16~
“He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.”  Everything you have, your car, job, house, money, all of it belongs to the LORD. “But I worked for it!, you say.” Perhaps, but who created you? Who gave you the gift the life? Who created the iron in the earth used to form your car? Who created everything in, on, above, and under the earth? Do not be a fool, you do not “own” anything; everything belongs to God – period. Are you holding onto your wealth and possessions loosely or with closed hands? Hoarding wealth greedily for personal gain is not God’s will, and you will not go unpunished for this behaviour. Personally I feel greatly blessed to have the financial means to give generous, and find it a great way to control my spending.

Riches Fly Away  ~Proverbs 23:5~
“Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.”  Are you proud to own that fancy new car with funds borrowed from the bank? Does that not make you a slave? How ironic. Money is borrowed at interest, which the bank in fact created “out of thin air” – more on this in a future post. So, you must pay bank the loan for an “asset” which depreciates daily and is slowly decaying to dust from whence it came. Not quite a fair bargain, eh? Can you take your wide-screen TV, fishing boat, Florida condo, etc.. with you when your time is up? Owning nice things is not wrong nor does God consider it a sin. However, if you place your self worth, trust and faith in possessions, now that is another matter entirely. The bible is specific on this, our physical world is passing away and will be utterly destroyed in a future cleansing fire. Jesus commanded us to place our trust in Him, and to lay up treasure in heaven instead of on earth where moths and thieves can corrupt.

Giveth unto the Poor  ~Proverbs 28:27~
“He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.”  Mark 12:41-44 “And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.” Give as the LORD hath blessed you, given regularly and generously with a willing and thankful heart.

He is risen today!

God bless,

Sacredness of Life

Life. A loving gift from our caring Father. Something that cannot be created by science. Evolution? Not a chance. Darwin or God? Where is Darwin now?  Our true Creator the Living God, is alive and orchestrating universe-wide events from His throne in heaven. God designed marriage to be the  exclusive providence of a man and a woman for the purpose of procreation. Why? Because at some point in the near future, the LORD will bring about final end-time events to usher in His eternal kingdom upon earth. Abortion? Murder, plain and simple. The “leaders” of our country have no problem legalizing abortion, not caring for the perspective of our Father in heaven.

Allow me to make a very clear warning – Abortion is murder. God condemns murder and will hold people responsible for their actions. Our world is cursed because of our collective disobedience to God and His laws. Make no mistake, every action or inaction by every human being is recorded by God for playback on Judgment Day. If you have had an abortion or a part in this industry (yes, it is a money-making business), you can repent and have your sins forgiven! It is never too late – God is waiting for you to ask His forgiveness, confess your sins and start a new life in Jesus Christ. I am absolutely certain God will restore to life every aborted fetus or infant in the soon-coming Kingdom of God. Jesus Christ died for your sins, regardless of how awful wicked they may be. Through His blood upon the cross we can receive the ultimate forgiveness! Please, embrace life, present and future, accept His free offer of salvation now while there is time. Do not wait, do not delay, for if you die without Jesus, all hope is lost. Make a change in your life and do the right thing, now – please.

God bless.

The First Marriage  ~ Genesis 2:21-25 ~
“And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, a flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.” Scripture succinctly defines marriage as between man and woman, the purpose of which is to produce offspring which may inherit eternal life and the Kingdom of God.

Formed in the Womb  ~ Job 1:21, Job 31:15 ~
“And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. ~ Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?”

I am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made  ~Psalm 139:14-16 ~
“I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” Human beings are perfectly created in the image of God. Can anyone declare how a baby is formed? Is science able to duplicate the infinite complexity of new life? No. Only God is able to create life, which He alone is able to give.

Blessed is the Fruit of the Womb  ~ Deuteronomy 7:13 ~
“And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee.” Blessings of offspring, crops and other increases are promised to those who are obedient to the LORD.

Taken from the Womb  ~ Psalm 22:10, 58:3, 71:6 ~
“I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly. ~ The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. ~ By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.” Both the righteous and wicked enter the world from our mother’s womb. We should continually, day by day praise the LORD for giving us life.

A Heritage of the LORD  ~ Psalm 127:3 ~
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Children are born to men and woman such that the Kingdom of God might receive them into glorious eternal life. All life is given by God, and what He gives may be taken away. Life is precious and should never be taken for granted, for it is a miracle of God.

I formed thee in the Belly  ~ Jeremiah 1:5~
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
