The end of the wicked

“Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the Holy One of Israel.”  Isaiah 5:24

“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.”  Malachi 4:1

but,

“But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall. And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.”  Malachi 4:2-3

Blessed be the LORD,

Amen

The wicked are deaf and without understanding

Blessings unto you O my LORD, that ye would have mercy with us sinners, and not pour out thy wrath early. O, how the heathen have rejected thee, they have turned back from the truth, and understand not anything under the sun. How do the flowers in the field grow? How does the locust find its way home upon the wind? They cannot answer, for the unrepentant are deaf and without understanding. All that matters is thy truth, and all human knowledge is but vanity. Their understanding is lower than the dust of the ground, their knowledge is less than that of a small child. Everything they speak is only vanity, their philosophy does them no good, and bringeth destruction upon their souls. All is vanity, their existence is in vain and without profit.

Abram and Lot separate

And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, and thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom. But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward.

Genesis 13:10-14

John the Baptist was not the Christ

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. He must increase, but I must decrease. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifeth; and no man receiveth his testimony. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

John 3:27-36

Christ the true vine

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 15:1-8

A voice of thanksgiving

For thy lovingkindness is before mine eyes: and I have walked in thy truth. I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evildoers; and will not sit with the wicked. I will wash mine hands in innocency: so I will compass thine altar, O LORD: That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wonderous works.

Psalm 26:3-7

The Son of man cometh

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through. Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

Trust not your lying ways

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. For if ye thoroughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place; neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever, Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.

Jeremiah 7:3-8

Are you trusting fully in the LORD and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ? Are you heeding His words, His commandments and statutes? Are you growing in grace, knowledge and truth?   If not, then you are trusting in lying words.God will overlook our sins and transgressions if we are actively trusting in Him, repenting of our sins, and doing our best to live according to His word. Many of our leaders often use words such as, “And may God bless ___________.” Are they living by every word of God? No. Is the nation living according to the word of God? No. Then if you believe them, you personally are trusting in lying words. The Bible defines a liar as any person who does not  trust in Jesus and keep His commandments – 1 John 2:3-4. In whom are you trusting today?

Blessings,

A prayer to the LORD

Thank you LORD for the monies received this week from my labours. Blessings to all of your children wherever they are, because the call of your voice was heard and a response given. I love you LORD with all my heart and soul; your great love and mercy is all I need day by day. Your acceptance is what I seek through the precious blood of Jesus Christ. To be honest LORD, the sins and evil of this world are a fright unto me. Do not leave me O   LORD, for I cannot face this evil without you. O what an evil and wicked people we are; all have forsaken you and wandered astray. All have turned to their own sin, there is none that doeth right in your eyes. We are perishing off this Earth, but your children cling to the promise of hope, made possible through Jesus Christ. I cling to this promise my LORD, and shalt not let it go. Blessings be heaped upon you in infinite abundance; let your people praise your name day and night forever.

The wicked know not that they have made a covenant with death, and that destruction and misery lies before them. Our sins are multiplied, our strength is fading, but hope endures. We have hope in the name of Jesus, a name to be praised above all others, because He loved us so. How much shall be the cost O  LORD? How much suffering shall we endure? Very much, I fear, for our sins are great, our faith weak, and your just wrath unsatisfied. O  LORD, what a dark day it will be when the heavens fall, and the mountains are moved. Am I to live to see this day? Will you ask for my life? I will stand for thee, my LORD and KING; but my flesh fears greatly. Lend me your strength, sufficient that I may stand form and not faint due to fear. I care not for this world; I hate my sin and the evil all about. One day O  LORD, ye will once again renew the face of the earth, and all shall be made right. I pray you a good night my LORD, and thank you for this day from my heart.

I am the LORD: that is My name

Thus saith God the LORD, he that stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth; and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein: I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images. Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
